Have your circumstances changed?
If you receive State Pension, Additional State Pension, Over 80 Pension or Pension Credit and need to tell us about a change in your details please contact your Pension Centre
If you receive Winter Fuel Payment and need to tell us about a change in your details contact the Winter Fuel Payment Helpline
What do we need to know about?
Please tell us straight away if any of the following things change:
Your personal details
- Your bank details change
- You change your name
- You become disabled
- You get married or divorced
- You become part of a civil partnership or your civil partnership is dissolved
- Your partner or spouse dies
- You start or stop doing voluntary work
Where you live
- You move home
- You go abroad for more than four weeks
- You go into hospital or someone you claim for goes into hospital
- You are in custody serving a sentence imposed by a court
- You go into residential care or a nursing home
Who you live with
- Your partner or spouse moves in with you or moves away
- Someone who is not dependent on you financially moves in or out of your household
Your financial situation
- You are awarded a benefit
- Any other benefits you receive are changed
- Any other income you receive changes
- Your savings or investments change*
- Your occupational pension changes*
- You start or stop doing paid work
*If you receive Pension Credit and have been awarded an Assessed Income Period you do not need to tell us about changes to your savings and investments or occupational pensions.
