Accessibility statement

The aim of The Pension Service website is to make sure that the widest possible range of people find the website easy to use, or “accessible”. We are actively working to increase the accessibility of our website.

Accessibility of our site

Our website is regularly tested to make sure it meets the government standard for accessibility. This standard is known as Double-A (AA) level of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Where possible we strive to meet Triple-A (AAA) level accessibility wherever it does not reduce usability for any other group of users.

Accessibility help

There are a number of features available from your computer to make this website easier to use. These features can help you do such things as change the size and colour of the text and change the background colour.

You can change the size of the text on the site by clicking on the text size icons at the top of each article page. Further instructions on how to change the text size are provided on the website for users running the Microsoft Windows operating system and users of Apple Mac computers

Navigation aids

Breadcrumb trails have been used on the website so that you always know where you are and can easily navigate back to the homepage or a specific page.

All pages have a ‘send to a friend’ option. Clicking on this will let you send a link of the page by email. The address of the page is already filled in: all you have to do is fill in the email address and click the button to send it.

All pages of the site use a separate print stylesheet to ensure they can be printed in a 'print-friendly' manner.
