Island memories preserved
Older members of the community in Douglas, Isle of Man, have been sharing their memories of life on the Island with students from Ballerkermeen High School.
As part of the Tell Me project young people are interviewing older people to document the Island’s social history.
Age Concern arranged for students to visit a residential home in Douglas to talk to the older residents about their experiences.
Paul Withington, the teacher co-ordinating the project, said: 'I thought it would be a great opportunity to get some of our students involved in the community and specifically with older members of the community.'
