European Court of Justice rules on disability benefits
The European Court of Justice decided on 18 October that Disability Living Allowance (care component only), Attendance Allowance and Carer’s Allowance are not ‘Special Non Contributory Benefits’. This means that they may, in certain circumstances, be paid to people who move from the UK to live in another country that is in the European Economic Area.
