Working beyond retirement age

More and more Britons are working beyond retirement age. Their reasons for doing so are many and varied, ranging from supplementing their retirement income to keeping themselves active.

A Channel 4 documentary, screened recently, highlights some of their stories.

Sylvester Stein, now 86, has been a journalist, publisher and athlete in his time, but it is his career as an entrepreneur that keeps him going. He started his latest venture aged 80 and has no plans to give it up just yet.

In order to keep fit and to make money to play Golf, Arthur, aged 78, collects golf balls from the driving range at a golf course in Surrey.
