East of England summer roadshow for older people
Living, learning and working longer will be the theme of a roadshow campaign taking place in the east of England this summer.
The Pension Service, Age Positive and Jobcentre Plus have teamed up with BBC East, Community Service Volunteers and other key partners in the region to launch the roadshow, called 'Taking It On'.
In the east of England, the 50-plus age group is set to grow by 30 per cent over the next 20 years, and the roadshow seeks to support people making decisions about learning, working and retirement.
BBC Look East's Stewart White will launch the roadshow at Christ's Pieces in Cambridge on 27 May.
The 'Taking It On' roadshow is being run by volunteer and social action broadcast charity CSV Media. Supporters include East of England Development Agency, Age Concern, Help the Aged and the National Institute for Adult Continuing Education (NIACE).
You can find out more about the roadshow by calling your local BBC Action Desk on 0845 045 5678 (calls are charged at local rate).
